It’s t-minus 58 days until summer. That is less than two months until we’ll be forced by the unforgiving sun to lay off the layers and in need of a relaxing pool day.

Gyms are packed as people are working overtime to achieve their body goals for the summer. I’m one of those that are in the gym because I vowed to myself that this year would be the year that I’m finally summer ready!

Working out is difficult. And if you’re a newcomer to this fitness life or you’re just simply burnt out, you may find yourself wanting to give up at times.

After spending five consistent months in the gym, I’ve learned that a lot of the time the battle of wanting to quit comes from the mind telling you to stop even if you’re physically capable of continuing. It’s a real-life struggle that a lot of us face. And God has shown me that the enemy will try to flood our minds with these negative thoughts in an attempt to stop us from taking care of our temple. Good news is that we don’t have to fold to those LIES.

What I love about listening to Christian music while working out is that it motivates me to press forward even when the workouts are tough. And if the enemy tries it, I’m in the proper mindset to win that spiritual battle.
