If you are anything like me, you’ve probably waited until the last moment to prepare for the summer. BTW the last possible moment is NOW! I started my new work out regime 14 days ago. But it’s better late than never right?! This is my last summer in my 20’s and I plan to look good with a cinched waist and flat abs.
This summer I plan to vacay all over the California coast. So y’all know I need to be beach ready. I have this new found love for California.
For years I have been trying to leave LA because I have always felt that there was better for me outside of this big city. However, God has put it on my heart that He needs me in Los Angeles. He needs me to be a directing light in a city that has major influence stemmed from TV, film and music. Maybe I will share more about the revelation about Los Angeles that God has placed on my heart soon.
Other than all of the amazing adventures I will be going on, summer marks watermelon season! Watermelon is literally my favorite fruit. Alongside mangoes of course. This week I bought my first watermelon of the season and I basically died.
So in honor of the snatched body I will be frolicking around beaches this summer, I decided to share with you my favorite summer salad. This spicy watermelon avocado salad, has watermelon and cucumber which each make up over 80% of water! Any produce that has a high water percentage is good for flushing the body of toxins and unnecessary water weight. And the jalapeno’s contain capsaicin which boosts your metabolism aka a fat blaster!
Y’all this is the type of salad that is so good you won’t want to share it and won’t feel guilty for keeping it to yourself. #foodgoals. So if you’re with me and want to eat guilt free this summer, you need to join me in indulging in this yumminess of a salad.
