I know life seems to be moving fast around you while you’re at a standstill. You’ve been working hard tending to the seeds that God had you plant, yet there hasn’t been any sign of a harvest. This leaves you frustrated and even contemplating going forward with your dreams.
If you can relate to this, keep reading. I’m here to push you to keep going. Actually, we can push each other because I too need a push to keep going as well.
My Personal Journey
I’ve been consistently blogging for 4 years and I too feel like all my hard work has taken me nowhere. I’ve written my heart out on these pages sharing some of my deepest secrets. Not because I want y’all in my business, but because God has given me this urge to share my journey in hopes to enrich, inspire and push women towards Him all while living in this world. And although writing is not about being Insta popular for me, I’ve always envisioned myself creating a community of women to connect with over faith and life.
I’ve been so frustrated lately that I’ve lost inspiration and even understanding as to why I started this thing in the first place. Sometimes my frustration turns into doubt which makes me question if God gave me this assignment of blogging or if this something I’m doing without His approval. The struggle has been so real y’all. But even when these negative thoughts flood my mind and I’m ready to throw in the towel, God reaches his hand out to me and gives me a sign to keep going.
It’s heavy on my heart to share this with you, the person like me who is awaiting for their arrival time, to keep going even when you don’t see fruit. Although there may not have been much earthly progress, it DOES NOT mean that God has forgotten you or that its time to give up. 1. God doesn’t forget about his children.
And 2. Just because you don’t see a result, it does not mean that there has been any progress. God is working on somethings behind the scenes so that when it’s your arrival time, you’re prepared and perfected. He’ll wait on answering certain prayers because if the timing isn’t right, it won’t be as beneficial or influential if your harvest comes at the wrong time. If we get it too early it could be harmful and not developed enough to make it’s intended impact in our lives and the lives of others. The only way you can be prepared and perfected is by working out the kinks. That’s what this grind time is for!
I know, it may be frustrating to continue going without a return on investment but trust me, it’s better to keep sowing for the intended impact rather than to arrive prematurely without a strong and healthy enough harvest to feed the masses.
When you feel like giving up, enlist the same faith you have in God that you have in His promise for your life. Hebrews 11:1 teaches us that “faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” So that means even if you don’t see the promise, you believe in it because of your Father who gave it to.With obedience fueled by faith comes much reward. Keep going!
Be patient and allow God to use this time to prepare you all the way through so that when it’s time you are full and ready. Be thankful ALWAYS that we have a Heavenly Father who cares about us so much that he is intentional with timing so that you can be your best. You’re not behind, you’re right on schedule love. Keep your head up!
“For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay. ” Habakkuk 2:3
